Frequently Asked Questions
What is an integrative or holistic veterinary consultation?
An integrative consultation looks at your pet as a whole — physically, emotionally, and environmentally — rather than focusing on symptoms alone. It combines conventional veterinary knowledge with homeopathy, nutrition, lifestyle, and natural therapies to uncover underlying causes and support long-term balance and vitality..
What is homoepathy?
Homeopathy is an energetic form of medicine that works by stimulating the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It views symptoms not as problems to be suppressed, but as the body’s way of communicating an underlying imbalance.
Rather than masking symptoms, homeopathy uses them as a guide — a language that helps us understand where the system is struggling and what it needs to restore harmony. The goal is to correct the root cause of illness, not simply to remove its outward signs.
Homeopathy can be effective for both acute problems (such as injuries, infections, or emotional upsets) and deeper, long-standing conditions that affect the whole constitution.
What can I expect during a first consultation?
Your first visit (in-home or virtual) runs for about 60–90 minutes. We take a detailed history of your pet’s health, temperament, diet, environment, and medical background. From this, I develop a personalised plan that may include a homeopathic remedy, nutritional guidance, and supportive recommendations. A written summary and follow-up support are included..
How long does homeopathic treatment take to work?
Each case is unique. Some animals improve within days, while chronic or long-standing conditions may take weeks or months to rebalance. Homeopathy works by stimulating the body’s natural healing ability, so changes tend to unfold gradually and deeply
How does a virtual consultation work?
Virtual consultations are available for clients across Australia and internationally. Once you make a booking, you’ll be asked to complete a detailed patient form. I also review your pet’s full medical history — from puppy or kittenhood to the present — so that I can assess both the current concerns and the deeper background contributing to them.
The consultation takes place as a virtual call via an online platform. During our session, we’ll discuss your pet’s history, behaviour, environment, diet, and any recent changes. From this, I provide a full assessment and an individualised treatment plan, along with a written summary afterward..
How does a house call work?
For clients in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, I offer in-home visits so your pet can be seen in a relaxed and familiar environment. These appointments include a full evaluation — reviewing past medical records, assessing current symptoms, and observing your pet within their home setting.
The aim is to gain a complete picture of your animal’s health, from their history through to present-day findings, and to provide a tailored treatment plan to support healing and long-term wellbeing..
How do I make a booking?
To book, simply click the Book Consultation button on my website. You’ll be guided to complete a patient form, which helps me prepare a detailed understanding of your pet’s background and current issues.
Once your booking is received, my team will contact you to confirm whether your appointment will be a virtual consultation or a house call (available in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney)
How and when do I pay?
Payment is made on the day of your consultation (or within a few days by prior arrangement). Secure payment links are sent via Square.
As I am a fully qualified veterinarian (BVSc), many Australian pet insurance providers may reimburse the consultation fee. Please check directly with your insurer to confirm eligibility and coverage.
